​LIFE COACH was an immersive, digital theatre experience, that aimed to take audiences on a sardonic exploration through the modern pop-culture of online self-help gurus.

​

Inspired by the immediate and present trends of online guru’ism I made the piece in conjunction with National Theatre Wales’ Network scheme, in direct response to the conoronavirus crisis.

​

​Audiences were guided by three extraordinary life coaches through a five-day participatory course that lead to a final live seminar. In the end (SPOILER ALERT) the modern salespeople of hyper-normalised digital lifestyle/pixelated snake oil died in horrific Danté ways, streamed LIVE, right before the audiences very eyes. The message was; NOW THERE IS ONLY YOU.

The project was supported by National Theatre Wales & Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru with BBC Cymru Wales & BBC Arts.  The performance of the work took place only once via email, youtube, Twitter and Zoom, and was broadcast live to over a 1,000 people across the world.
